NASA Captures The Comet 'Eaten' By The Sun

NASA captured the awesome video of a comet being "eaten" by the Sun after its orbit brings it too close to the star to escape. The space agency's solar-focused agency - Solar and Helioscopic Observatory (SOHO) - captured footage of the Kreutz Sungrazer as it made its fateful approach.

A SOHO spokeswoman said NASA "gathered the footage using a Coronagraph, which blocks the brightest object in an image."

Experts say a new cluster of Kreutz comets will approach the sun over the next few decades, treating stargazers to more stunning shows.
